Udaipur. On the occasion of the Regional Agriculture Fair-2026 and Fruit, Flower & Vegetable Exhibition, a live demonstration of the Integrated Farming System (IFS) Module was organized under the aegis of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, by the All India Coordinated Research Project on Integrated Farming Systems.

The exhibition was visited by Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Shri Bhagirath Choudhary; Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh; Assistant Director General (Human Resource Management) Dr. S.K. Sharma; Director of Extension Education Dr. R.L. Soni; Registrar Shri Ashok Kumar; Dean, RCA, Dr. Manoj Mahala; and OSD Dr. Siddharth Mishra, along with other dignitaries.

On this occasion, Principal Investigator Dr. Hari Singh explained the working mechanism of the Integrated Farming System and its various components, including crop production, horticulture, animal husbandry, poultry farming, fisheries, organic waste management, and resource recycling. He informed that by adopting the Integrated Farming System, farmers can generate an additional net income of up to ₹2.30 lakh per hectare along with the creation of 474 man-days of employment. The system helps in enhancing farmers’ income, reducing risks, and ensuring optimal and sustainable utilization of available resources.

During the fair, more than 2,000 farmers, agricultural scientists, students, and visitors from five districts observed the IFS module and expressed keen interest. Farmers described it as an effective initiative towards making agriculture more profitable, sustainable, and environmentally friendly.

The live demonstration proved to be a significant step in connecting farmers with modern and integrated agricultural technologies, thereby promoting sustainable agricultural development in the region.
