Udaipur: The Community and Applied Sciences College of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology organized a poster-making competition on the theme “Hallmarking: Trust in Purity of Gold/Silver” under the seven-day special camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The event was conducted by the CCAS Standards Club in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Jaipur.

During the event, the College Head, Dr. Dhriti Solanki, addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of hallmarking. She stated that hallmarking certifies the quality and purity of gold and silver and plays a crucial role in ensuring consumer trust. She encouraged students to actively participate in such activities and remain aware of quality standards.

A total of 40 students enthusiastically took part in the competition, creatively showcasing the significance of hallmarking, consumer awareness, and trust in quality through their posters. Participants effectively represented BIS hallmark symbols, gold and silver jewelry, and messages highlighting purity and authenticity.

On this occasion, the club mentor, Emeritus Professor Dr. Suman Singh, addressed the students, reiterating that hallmarking is a symbol of consumer trust and plays an essential role in ensuring purity.

The winners of the competition will be announced during the concluding session of the NSS camp. Dr. Rekha Vyas, Dr. Hemu Rathore, Dr. Monika Roy, and Dr. Anjali Juyal played key roles in organizing the program.
