Udaipur: A seven-day Special Camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) was organized from February 17 to February 23, 2026, at the College of Community and Applied Sciences, a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur.

The camp concluded on February 23, 2026. On this occasion, the Dean of the college, Dr. Dhriti Solanki, addressed the NSS volunteers and stated that the primary objective of organizing such camps is to develop social responsibility, community participation, leadership qualities, and the ability to assist during natural disasters among youth. She emphasized that young people should work with dedication and commitment toward society and the nation. She also appreciated the efforts and activities carried out by the volunteers during the camp.

Dr. Monica Rai, Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme at the college, presented a detailed report of the camp. She informed that during the seven-day camp, several expert lectures were organized for the volunteers. Dr. Gayatri Tiwari delivered a lecture on life skills, while Dr. Gaurav Wadhawan conducted a lecture and demonstration on first aid.

Other activities included shramdaan (voluntary labor), a rally and awareness programs on various social issues in Hita village, and a visit to Piplantri village focusing on environmental conservation. A poster-making competition on the theme “Trust in Purity of Gold and Silver” was also organized, in which all volunteers enthusiastically participated.

The camp successfully provided a platform for students to engage in community service and enhance their personal and social development.
