Udaipur: A one-day technical training program on mushroom production was organized at the Falasia Panchayat Committee auditorium under the Scheduled Tribe Sub-Plan, conducted by the Directorate of Mushroom Research (DMR) with support from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Around 100 farmers from the Falasia Panchayat Committee area participated in the program.

During the session, DMR scientist Jagdish provided detailed guidance on scientific mushroom production techniques, selection of quality spawn, compost preparation, temperature and humidity management, and disease control. He emphasized that adopting scientific methods allows farmers to earn higher profits at lower costs.

On the occasion, Professor Dr. Narayan Meena from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology delivered detailed guidance on modern mushroom production technologies and management practices. He highlighted mushroom cultivation as an effective livelihood option for tribal areas and encouraged farmers to adopt it as a source of self-employment.

The training program aimed to connect farmers from Scheduled Tribe regions with innovative agricultural techniques to increase their income. Participants actively engaged in the session, clarifying technical queries and gaining practical knowledge.

At the conclusion of the program, farmers expressed that the training was highly beneficial and requested that similar programs be organized in the future.
