Sri Ganganagar: Under the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Gram Uthan Camps being organized across the district are providing significant benefits to rural residents. In the Girdawar Circle, these camps have been ongoing since 23 January, offering farmers, livestock owners, and other villagers guidance on departmental schemes with active participation from agriculture, horticulture, agricultural marketing, animal husbandry, dairy, fisheries, cooperatives, water resources, energy, industry, disaster management, rural development, and panchayati raj departments.
The camps are being successfully conducted under the supervision of District Collector Dr. Manju. According to Joint Director of Agriculture, Shri Surjeet Kumar, a total of 1,386 farmers have been provided updates on the status of their tarbandi applications, 2,532 farmers on Diggi scheme applications, 423 farmers on pipeline schemes, 9,270 farmers on crop insurance, 110 farmers on bullock farming incentive applications, 11,015 farmers on minimum support price, and 11,912 farmers on other agricultural schemes. Additionally, verification of mini-kit distribution was conducted for 17,362 farmers, seed distribution verification for 8,715 farmers, and 4,302 Soil Health Cards were distributed during the camps.
The Horticulture Department provided information on schemes like fountains, drip irrigation, and plastic mulch. The Agricultural Marketing Department shared details about the Chief Minister Krishak Saathi Assistance Scheme. The Cooperative Department assisted farmers with Kisan Credit Cards, 5% interest subsidy schemes for agriculture and non-agriculture sectors, and applications for new custom hiring centers.
The Animal Husbandry Department provided primary treatment to 21,247 animals, administered deworming medication, carried out fever vaccination, performed artificial insemination on 88 animals, and distributed 929 fertility kits. Information on the Gaushala Development Scheme was also provided.
The Fisheries Department promoted the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, while the Energy Department facilitated registrations under the PM Suryaghar Scheme, with the Revenue Department completing 131 farmer registry registrations. Under the same energy scheme, 1,070 registrations were completed, 18,995 farmers received VB-Girramji guidance, 2,878 ownership cards were distributed, 139 cases of canal and waterway repairs were identified, and 133 applications were processed under the Youth Self-Employment Scheme.
