Sri Ganganagar: Under the guidance of Shri Ravindra Kumar, President of the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority (RSLSA), Jaipur and District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Sri Ganganagar, an awareness camp was organized on Monday at S.D. Bihani Pharmacy College, Sri Ganganagar. The camp focused on schemes like NALSA’s Acid Attack and Victim Compensation Scheme and was conducted by Shri Ravi Prakash Suthar, Secretary of DLSA and Additional District & Sessions Judge (ADJ).

During the camp, ADJ Suthar addressed the students, providing detailed information about the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and explained various schemes run by NALSA and RALSA, including victim compensation and financial relief for acid attack survivors.

He also highlighted the rise in cybercrime with increased internet usage. Students were advised to use strong passwords, avoid sharing OTPs, and refrain from clicking unknown links on social media. Additionally, they were encouraged to stay away from drugs and were informed about the functioning of rehabilitation homes.

Following this, Shri Rohtash Yadav, Chief Advocate of DLSA Sri Ganganagar, explained free legal aid services and the functioning of Legal Aid Defense Councils (LADCs). The importance of maintaining physical and mental health, particularly for female students, was emphasized. Shri Amandeep Chalana of the Legal Aid Defense Council provided information about the NALSA helpline (15100) and the upcoming National Lok Adalat.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from S.D. Bihani Pharmacy College Principal Shri Sanjeev Thakkar, expressing gratitude to ADJ Suthar for his guidance and awareness efforts.
