Udaipur, Aiming to hone leadership skills, accelerate personality development, and motivate young minds toward nation-building, the two-day residential Rotary Multi-District Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) of District 3056 kicked off with great enthusiasm in Udaipur on Friday. Organized by the Rotaract Club Aishwarya, this youth conclave brings together nearly 300 school and college students from 7 states across the country. During the grand opening ceremony held in the morning at Shubh Mangal Garden, a joint installation ceremony was conducted for 15 Interact Clubs of Udaipur city and 10 Rotaract Clubs across the state. The program delivered strong messages on leadership, discipline, positive thinking, and social responsibility to the attending youth. A Journey of 2.8 Million Kilometers and Over 2,800 Workshops Across 29 Years In the opening session, well-known motivational speaker Arun Rishi Sargiya inspired the youth toward positive thinking and lifelong learning. He shared that 29 years ago, he took voluntary retirement from his professional life with a pledge to teach youth and society the art of living a positive and meaningful life. Since then, he has traveled nearly 2.8 million kilometers across the globe and conducted more than 2,800 motivational workshops. Aishwarya Singh Assumes Youth Leadership Responsibility A major highlight of the event was the oath-taking ceremony of Aishwarya Singh, District Rotaract Representative (DRR) for District 3056, along with her 15-member District Council. Rotaract operates as the youth wing of Rotary International. Addressing the audience, DRR Aishwarya Singh urged the youth to make discipline and hard work their guiding principles. She emphasized that young individuals must continuously upgrade their skills and focus on personal growth. Through dedication to their goals and relentless effort, the youth can not only realize their dreams but also bring honor to the nation. An Exciting Journey From ‘Train 18’ to ‘Vande Bharat’ During the afternoon session, keynote speaker Dr. Sudhanshu Mani—a retired Indian Railway Service officer and the mastermind behind India’s first indigenous semi-high-speed train, 'Vande Bharat' (Train 18)—interacted with the participants. He shared his remarkable journey and experiences taking 'Train 18' from concept to delivery. His story inspired the youth toward innovation, self-confidence, and achieving ambitious goals against all odds. Holistic Social Development Requires Positive Thinking Special speaker Rajiv Jain, Editorial In-charge of Rajasthan Patrika (Udaipur), highlighted that overall progress requires every segment of society to move forward with education and a positive mindset. He stressed that achieving holistic development is difficult without fostering creative efforts at the grassroots level. Throughout the two-day RYLA event, several motivational and skill-building sessions are being organized around leadership, personality development, teamwork, innovation, social responsibility, and nation-building. The event stands as a significant initiative toward shaping better leaders and instilling a strong sense of responsibility toward society and the nation.
