Satyagraha Rally Led by Dehat Congress District President Raghuveer Singh Meena; Accusations of Caste Discrimination Against BJP Udaipur: Fury erupted among Congress workers following an incident in Haldwani where the venue for Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge’s proposed public address was allegedly washed with water and a havan (sacred fire ritual) was performed to "purify" it. Under the leadership of Dehat Congress District President Raghuveer Singh Meena, workers staged a major protest by organizing a Satyagraha rally. Deep Resentment Over Insult to Top Leadership During the protest, Congress workers alleged that the rally site was deliberately washed to insult the top leadership of the Congress party. Workers termed this an attack on the dignity of the Congress Party and its National President. Strongly condemning the act, office-bearers of Dehat Congress demanded strict legal action against the perpetrators and a public apology. The protesters made it clear that any attack on the honor and respect of the party would not be tolerated. This action carried out by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) exposes their shallow mindset. It proves that the BJP continues to harbor caste-based discriminatory attitudes even today."
