Udaipur, On the eve of Independence Day, the heroic history of freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for the motherland came alive on the soil of Mewar. From Maharana Pratap’s historic victory at Diver to the revolutionary clarion call of the Kakori Action in 1925, the sagas of India's brave revolutionaries resonated in Udaipur. The occasion was an impactful 90-minute theatrical performance depicting the Kakori Revolution. Jointly organized by Pratap Gaurav Kendra ‘Rashtriya Tirth’ and the Center for Civilization Studies (Rajasthan Chapter), in collaboration with the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) and RNT Medical College, the event took place at the new auditorium of RNT Medical College. Echoes of "Inquilab Zindabad" and "Vande Mataram" filled the venue, instilling deep patriotic fervor among the audience. Key Highlights of the Event Portrayal of Sacrifice: The drama powerfully depicted the unyielding courage, endurance, and sacrifice of revolutionaries standing against British atrocities. Emotional reenactments showing freedom fighters Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Roshan Singh, and Rajendra Lahiri proudly embracing the gallows moved the audience. Celebration of Kakori Centenary: Manoj Joshi, Convener of the Center for Civilization Studies (Rajasthan Chapter), noted that this theatrical showcase marked the commencement of 100 years of the Kakori Incident (August 9, 1925), honoring how young revolutionaries injected fresh momentum into India's freedom struggle. Poster Launch for Diver Victory Festival: Guests officially released the poster for the upcoming Diver Victory Festival, scheduled to take place from September 16 to 26. Eminent Addresses: Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma (President, Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Samiti) emphasized the decisive role of youth in nation-building across every era. Dr. Rahul Jain (Principal, RNT Medical College) presided over the function. Dignitaries including Mahant Gulabdas Maharaj, DGP Gaurav Srivastava, Dr. Ravi Shankar (Director, Center for Civilization Studies, New Delhi), and Anurag Saxena (Director, Pratap Gaurav Kendra) were present among prominent citizens and large numbers of youth.
