Delhi-based powerlifter Shivankar Singh has successfully completed the selection process for the upcoming International Bodybuilding and Powerlifting Championship to be held in Bhutan on August 15, 2026, under the World Power Sports Federation.
The World Power Sports Federation is working to identify and encourage talented bodybuilders and powerlifters from across India, helping athletes prepare for and excel at international-level competitions.
The selection competition was organized in Gurugram, Haryana, where participating athletes were given instructions and evaluated in various powerlifting disciplines, including powerlifting, bench press, squat, and deadlift.
Shivankar Singh, competing in the Sub-Junior category, delivered an outstanding performance and won the gold medal, securing his place in the international championship in Bhutan.
Following his selection, Shivankar Singh’s family members and relatives expressed their happiness and congratulated him on his achievement. They encouraged him to continue working hard, improve his performance, and make the country proud at the international level.
His relatives also gave him a grand welcome and wished him continued success in his sporting career.
