Udaipur: Renowned Udaipur-based craftsman and holder of 211 world records, Dr. Iqbal Sakka, has created what he describes as the world’s first ‘Karishma-e-Tirangi Rakhi’, an extraordinary miniature piece of craftsmanship specially created for Raksha Bandhan.

The unique rakhi has been crafted using gold and American diamond and is so minuscule that it can only be clearly seen through a lens. Once the lens is removed, the intricate rakhi appears to disappear, leaving only the tricolour thread visible.

The miniature creation is exceptionally lightweight and can reportedly be blown away with a gentle puff of air. According to Dr. Sakka, its weight is so negligible that it registers 00.0 milligrams on a weighing scale.

Its extremely tiny size makes it appear like fine gold dust to the naked eye, creating an optical illusion. However, under magnification, the delicate design becomes visible—a sparkling gold rakhi embellished with an American diamond and mounted on a tricolour silk thread.

Dr. Sakka said the creation required seven hours of meticulous work. The unusual combination of precious materials, miniature craftsmanship and the tricolour theme makes the rakhi a distinctive tribute to Raksha Bandhan and India’s national colours.

The creation is expected to attract attention for its extraordinary level of miniature artistry and craftsmanship.
