Udaipur: The Vanchit Samaj Insaaf Party submitted a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister through the District Collector and District Magistrate, Udaipur, regarding the Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) associated with UPI digital payments and its potential financial impact on small traders.

Through the memorandum, the party sought that no additional transaction charges be imposed on ordinary citizens for UPI payments and that small shopkeepers, street vendors and small businesses should not face an additional financial burden due to MDR. The party also called for clear and accessible information on UPI charges and MDR-related rules for both consumers and traders.

Party representatives said UPI has become an important part of daily transactions for citizens and small businesses. They stated that the digital payment system should operate in a manner that does not add to the costs faced by small traders.

National Youth President Shoaib Sindhi, Rajasthan State President Nafees Sheikh, and State Vice President Mahboob Sahib were present on the occasion.

The party representatives said they would continue to raise issues concerning citizens and small traders before the administration and government through democratic and constitutional means.

The Election Commission of India lists Vanchit Samaj Insaaf Party among registered unrecognised political parties.
