Udaipur: The Department of Community Medicine at Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Udaipur, organised the seventh edition of its Undergraduate Quiz at the national level, witnessing participation from teams representing 25 medical colleges across five states — Jharkhand, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Held on the theme “Together for Health, Stand with Science,” the quiz aimed to promote scientific temperament, academic excellence and healthy competition among undergraduate medical students. The competition was appreciated for its high academic standards and well-structured conduct.

The event was attended by Geetanjali University Executive Director Ankit Agrawal, Vice-Chancellor Dr R.K. Vyas, Registrar Dr Arvind Kumar Yadav, GMCH Dean Dr Sangeeta Gupta, Medical Superintendent Dr Harpreet Singh and Additional Principal Dr Manjinder Kaur.

Announcing the results, Dr Mukul Dixit, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, said the team from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), New Delhi, secured the first position. Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Udaipur, finished second, while Sawai Man Singh Medical College (SMS), Jaipur, secured the third position.

The quiz was conducted by quizmasters Dr Medha Mathur and Dr Anjana Verma. Dr Hemlata Mittal and Dr Jyoti Jain were responsible for scorekeeping and ensuring the smooth conduct of the competition.

Members of the organising team included Dr Bhagraj Choudhary, Dr D.R. Beniwal, Dr Amit Kumar, Dr Suresh Choudhary, Dr Abhishek Kumar and Dr Anshika Jain from the Department of Community Medicine.

The national-level edition marked an important milestone in GMCH's seven-year-old academic initiative. Taking the undergraduate quiz to the national platform in its seventh year reflects the institution's continued focus on academic excellence, scientific thinking and innovative learning in medical education.
