Udaipur,  A road safety awareness campaign was organised on Thursday in memory of Late Mrs. Vishwamohini Sharma, with Mohini Infra Projects and 94.3 MY FM distributing 501 helmets to two-wheeler riders across various locations in Udaipur.

The campaign was inaugurated at the District Collectorate premises, where Superintendent of Police Amrita Duhan distributed helmets to members of the public. The initiative received support from the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Udaipur Traffic Police and Aadhar Foundation.

The campaign aimed to encourage two-wheeler riders to wear helmets regularly and promote greater awareness of road safety and responsible driving practices.

Awareness Activities Across Major Locations

The campaign commenced in the morning across several prominent areas of the city, including Amberi, Pratap Nagar, Madri Circle, Titardi Bypass, Balicha, Goverdhan Vilas, Rampura and Saifan. Awareness activities were conducted to encourage motorists to wear helmets and follow traffic regulations.

The main programme was held at the Udaipur Collectorate, where helmets were distributed to two-wheeler riders in the presence of administrative and traffic department officials and prominent citizens.

The next phase of the campaign was organised at Shastri Circle, where riders were made aware of the importance of wearing helmets and adopting safe road practices.

Road Safety Is a Responsibility Towards Ourselves and Our Families

Speaking on the occasion, Kulkshetra Sharma, Chairman of Mohini Infra Projects, said that the initiative organised in memory of Late Mrs. Vishwamohini Sharma was not limited to helmet distribution but aimed to develop a sense of responsibility towards road safety among citizens.

He emphasised that helmets should not be viewed merely as a legal obligation but as an essential means of protecting oneself and one's family.

He further stated that if the initiative helps save even one life and brings about a positive change in people's attitudes towards road safety, it would be a true tribute to Late Mrs. Vishwamohini Sharma.

Road Safety Pledge Taken

During the campaign, all those present took a pledge to follow road safety rules and encourage others to do the same.

The organisers appealed to residents to always wear helmets while riding two-wheelers, follow traffic regulations and spread awareness about safe driving practices.

Traffic Deputy Bhanwarlal, Gaurav Sharma, Narayan Lal and several other dignitaries and citizens were present on the occasion.
