Udaipur: A conference of senior officials from the competition authorities of BRICS nations, organized by the Competition Commission of India, was held at the historic Taj Fateh Prakash Palace in Udaipur. Around 15 senior officials and representatives from the competition authorities of BRICS countries participated in the conference. During their visit to Udaipur, the foreign delegates and accompanying officials explored the city’s rich historical, cultural, and natural heritage. The delegation was warmly welcomed at the City Palace Museum, managed by the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, in accordance with traditional Mewari customs and Rajasthani hospitality. Dr. Mayank Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, said that the delegation visited various historical galleries, artistic collections, and heritage sites within the City Palace Museum. The visitors were particularly impressed by the centuries-old heritage of Mewar, its magnificent architecture, and the historical treasures preserved within the museum. They also appreciated the conservation, management, and presentation of the museum carried out under the guidance of Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Foundation. Following their visit to the City Palace Museum, the delegation enjoyed a boat ride on Lake Pichola and visited the historic Jag Mandir, located in the middle of the lake. The foreign guests admired the scenic beauty of the lake, the surrounding Aravalli hills, and Udaipur’s distinctive natural landscape. The visit provided the senior BRICS officials with an opportunity to experience Udaipur’s glorious Mewari heritage, architectural excellence, natural beauty, and traditional hospitality. The delegates appreciated the city’s rich historical and cultural legacy and described their hospitality experience in Udaipur as truly memorable.
