Jaipur: Turning the spirit of Ganpati celebrations into an initiative for social service, funds received from Ganpati idols in Jaipur are being utilised through Surman Sanstha for the care, education and well-being of underprivileged children.

Founded by Manan Chaturvedi, Surman Sanstha works towards providing children with education, healthcare, a safe environment and opportunities for a better future. At present, around 110 children are living at Surman Home, where they receive care and support along with opportunities for education and personal development.

Manan Chaturvedi also uses her paintings to spread awareness about child rights and the need to support vulnerable children. The organisation’s objective goes beyond providing shelter—it aims to equip children with education, skills and opportunities that can help them build an independent and dignified future.

The initiative of channeling the faith associated with Lord Ganpati towards the welfare of children is emerging as a meaningful example of compassion and social responsibility. By using the funds generated during the festival for children's education and care, the initiative seeks to bring hope, happiness and new opportunities into their lives.
