Udaipur,  District Collector Namit Mehta paid a visit to the prominent religious and natural destination of Ubeshwarji on Saturday evening. During the visit, he participated in the “Hariyalo Rajasthan” plantation campaign by planting trees at the Forest Department’s rest house.

Collector Mehta was accompanied by UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Girwa SDM Avula Sai Krishna, and Deputy Forest Conservator Ajay Chittora. At the rest house premises, located directly opposite the Ubeshwar Mahadev Temple, the Collector, Commissioner Jain, and SDM Krishna planted Bael and Banyan saplings under the state’s greening initiative.

The Collector instructed officials to develop a viewpoint from the rest house to the temple and anicut for better tourist experience and to install safety railings in the area. He also reviewed the newly constructed trekking path and anicut built near the temple. He directed the installation of benches near the anicut to allow tourists to sit and enjoy the scenic beauty.

UDA Commissioner also proposed lighting arrangements at all three anicuts for enhanced visibility and safety.

Deputy Forest Conservator Chittora informed that the inauguration of the anicut and trekking path has been proposed for the coming days. The Collector also reviewed the location for the inauguration event.
