Udaipur,A district-level felicitation ceremony was organized today by the Udaipur District Headquarters of Hindustan Scouts and Guides (Rajasthan State) at the auditorium of Udaipur Transport Organization, located in the Transport Nagar area. The event recognized 85 individuals, including district executives, rangers, rovers, scouts, guides, service rovers, and training counselors, for their dedicated services and achievements at the district, state, and national levels. Honorees were presented with certificates, mementos, and shawls as a mark of appreciation.
The program commenced with the traditional Scout prayer. The chief guest of the event was Narendra Audichya, State Secretary of Hindustan Scouts and Guides, Rajasthan. The ceremony was presided over by Divisional Secretary Madan Lal Verma. Special guests included Narendra Singh Ranawat, President of Udaipur Transport Association and Vice President of the district unit of Hindustan Scouts and Guides; Manohar Singh Rathore, General Secretary of the Transport Association; Joint Secretary Manpreet Singh Khera; Vice President Hemraj Dangi; Girish Bharti, Director of Rajdev Teachers Training College and former District President of the Scouts; Divisional Commissioner Gopal Mehta Menaria; District Organizer (Udaipur) Shanta Vaishnav; District Organizer (Dungarpur) Gajendra Vaishnav; Dr. Priyanka Chaubisa, Principal of Disha Degree College, Dungarpur; Dr. Priyanka Kalal of Vinayak College, Kherwara; Dr. Himanshu Kharadi of Abhinandan Vidyalaya; Yogesh Kalal, Principal of Nagfani Degree College; and Hemu Gameti, Headmaster of Government Primary School, Jelani, among others.
All dignitaries were welcomed with scout scarves, and a welcome address was delivered by Divisional Commissioner Gopal Mehta Menaria, who emphasized the core objectives of scouting, stating it plays a vital role in youth career development and self-reliance. Chief Guest Narendra Audichya announced that Sea Scouting and Air Scouting units will soon be launched in Udaipur city under the Hindustan Scouts and Guides initiative.
President of Udaipur Transport Association, Narendra Singh Ranawat, along with his team, welcomed all scout officials with honor. Ceremony Chairperson Madan Lal Verma highlighted the importance of involving school and college students in scouting to aid their overall growth. Dr. Priyanka Chaubisa, Principal of Disha Degree College, Dungarpur, stressed the relevance of scouting in today’s digital and AI-driven world, stating it fosters self-dependence, mutual aid, emotional connection, patriotism, and national service among the youth.
Special recognition was given to Gopal Mehta Menaria (Divisional Commissioner) and Ishwari Reger (District Joint Secretary), who led the Udaipur District Scout team at the 25th Rashtriya Katha Camp held recently in Rajkot. Teachers Devendra Audichya, Rama Jain, and Tulsi Chadat were also honoured for their exceptional contributions at the district level.
The program was anchored by Assistant State Organization Commissioner Pradeep Meghwal, and the vote of thanks was delivered by District Organizer Shanta Vaishnav. The event concluded with a two-minute silence in memory of the children who lost their lives in a recent school building collapse in Jhalawar, followed by the national anthem.
