New Delhi/Chandigarh/Jaipur: Renowned Jaipur-based architect Pramod Jain has been honored with the prestigious ‘Architecture Excellence Recognition Award’ for his remarkable contributions to India’s architecture and design sector and for the outstanding design of the Marwar International Centre (MIC) in Jodhpur.

Rajya Sabha Member Satnam Singh Sandhu presented the award at the fifth edition of the National Architecture Awards, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Chandigarh, at Hotel Taj, Chandigarh. Experts, professionals, and prominent figures from the architecture and design sectors across the country participated in the award ceremony.

Pramod Jain received this honor for his significant contribution to the architectural design of MIC, Jodhpur, in the ‘Large Civic Buildings’ category. The selection for this award was made by a seven-member expert jury chaired by Architect Habib Khan, former President of the Council of Architecture. The jury specifically highlighted Pramod Jain’s design approach, creativity, innovation, and his contribution to contemporary Indian architecture.

The Marwar International Centre (MIC) has emerged as a vital hub of cultural life in Jodhpur. Its design reflects an effort to strike a balance between modern architecture and Rajasthan’s cultural identity. Consequently, the design of the MIC has become a subject of discussion within the national architectural community.

According to the PHDCCI, the various projects considered for the National Architecture Awards were evaluated based on a comprehensive 360-degree assessment. It encompassed various aspects such as the design concept, overall architectural aesthetics, innovation, sustainability, and the project's post-completion usage and public acceptance.

This achievement marks another significant milestone in Pramod Jain’s track record of consistently outstanding architectural work. He has been honored with the ‘Designscape Award’ for two consecutive years: in 2024 for the design of the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC), Jaipur, and in 2025 for the Marwar International Centre (MIC), Jodhpur.

Additionally, in 2025, he was conferred the National Stone Mart Award—accompanied by a cash prize of one lakh rupees—for the MIC project in Jodhpur. These accolades underscore his contribution to gaining national recognition for Rajasthan's contemporary architecture.
