Sri Ganganagar: Lions Club Sri Ganganagar Vishwas organised a special Teachers’ Day programme at a hotel on Suratgarh Road to honour educators for their valuable contribution to society and the nation.
Seven teachers—Vikas Chhimpa, Rakhi Goswami, Malkit Singh, Payal Sharma, Aarti Thakur, Rinku Pinjani and Dimple Pal—were felicitated during the programme.
The event also featured musical performances by Amit Mayyar, Rajat Batra, Aarti Thakur and Club President Manoj Khursija, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere.
Addressing the gathering, Manoj Khursija and other speakers highlighted the important role played by teachers in shaping society and building the nation. They said teachers not only impart academic knowledge but also instil values, discipline and the confidence to move forward in life.
They emphasised that honouring teachers is, in essence, a recognition of the importance of knowledge and education.
Former Lions Club Region Chairman Shailendra Sahu expressed gratitude to all the honoured teachers, guests and club members for their participation and support.
The programme concluded with refreshments and tea for the participants. The event was successfully conducted in a warm, cordial and celebratory atmosphere.
