Udaipur: The Namrata Primary Women Multipurpose Cooperative Society, operated by the Rajasthan Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad, has launched a special Raksha Bandhan campaign titled “Ek Rakhi Sainik Ke Naam” (One Rakhi for a Soldier). The initiative aims to express the affection, gratitude and respect of tribal women towards soldiers guarding the nation’s borders.

The programme was attended by Rajni Dangi of Laghu Udyog Bharati as the chief guest and presided over by Dr. Radhika Laddha, All-India Co-Incharge of Village Development, Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram. Virendra Prakash Pancholi, General Secretary of Rajasthan Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad, along with other office-bearers, was also present.

Dr. Laddha said the rakhis are being handmade by tribal women and will be sent to soldiers deployed in challenging conditions across the borders. She said the initiative conveys the message that soldiers are not alone and that society stands firmly with them.

The campaign also promotes women’s skills and self-reliance. Along with handmade rakhis, the women are preparing fashion jewellery and home décor items. Each rakhi is priced at ₹100.

Rajni Dangi expressed gratitude to soldiers for their sacrifices, while Virendra Prakash Pancholi appealed to people from all sections of society to join the campaign and dedicate “One Rakhi for a Soldier.”
