Udaipur: A tree plantation programme was organized at the College of Community and Applied Sciences (CCAS), Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, under the “Harialo Rajasthan” campaign. The programme aimed to promote environmental conservation, increase green cover, and create greater awareness about nature among students and staff.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of MPUAT. In his address, he highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and urged everyone to plant as many trees as possible and take responsibility for their protection and care.

Dr. Sarla Lakhawat, Dean of the College, encouraged students to become sensitive and responsible citizens who actively contribute to the protection of nature. On the occasion, Dr. Vikramaditya Dave, Dean of Student Welfare, MPUAT, also participated in the tree plantation drive.

Dr. Rupal Babel, Organizing Secretary of the programme, welcomed all the guests, faculty members, staff, and students. She said that tree plantation is not merely a campaign but an important step towards ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy environment for future generations.

The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Kamla Mahajani. Faculty members, employees, and students enthusiastically planted saplings of various species across the college campus and pledged to ensure their regular care and protection.

At the conclusion of the programme, all participants took a collective pledge to spread the “Harialo Rajasthan” campaign among the people and actively contribute to environmental conservation by planting and protecting more trees.
