Udaipur: On the occasion of Independence Day, young mountaineer Manasvi Agrawal of Udaipur was honoured by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma with a citation at the state-level Independence Day समारोह held in Bikaner.

Manasvi was recognised for her remarkable achievements in mountaineering, her contribution to bringing pride to the country and Rajasthan at the international level, and for becoming an inspiration to young people. Prior to this, she also participated in the Governor’s At Home programme held at the Rajuvass University campus in Bikaner.

The honour bestowed upon Manasvi at the state-level Independence Day समारोह in Bikaner has brought immense joy and pride to Udaipur as well as Rajasthan. Overcoming difficult circumstances and challenging conditions, she has unfurled the Tricolour on some of the world’s most challenging mountain peaks, demonstrating the courage and potential of the daughters of Rajasthan.

Manasvi Agrawal has consistently achieved notable milestones in mountaineering. She successfully climbed Mount Vinson Massif in Antarctica, bringing recognition to Rajasthan. She subsequently conquered Aconcagua, one of the world’s highest major mountain peaks. In 2026, Manasvi achieved a historic milestone by successfully reaching Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, and unfurling the Tricolour there.

After receiving the honour, Manasvi said that being recognised at the state level on the soil of Rajasthan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day was an extremely emotional and memorable moment for her. She said that behind every success in her mountaineering journey has been the trust, support and blessings of her family, mentors, colleagues and well-wishers.
