### Self-Discipline and Assimilation: Keys to Success - Prof. Sarangdevot

UdaipurThe seven-day Cultural, Literary, and Sports Competitions 2024 were inaugurated on Tuesday at the Lokmanya Tilak Teacher Training College, a constituent college of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University). The ceremony began with floral tributes to Goddess Saraswati, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and the hoisting of the college flag by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Colonel S.S. Sarangdevot, along with Principal Dr. Saroj Garg and faculty members Dr. Rachna Rathore, Dr. Balidan Jain, Dr. Ami Rathore, and Dr. Sunita Murdia.


Message from the Vice Chancellor
In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sarangdevot emphasized the importance of co-curricular and sports activities for holistic development alongside academics. Sharing the mantra for success in life and career, he stressed that self-discipline and assimilation of knowledge are the keys to achieving one’s goals.

He remarked that activities like sports are not merely recreational but serve as the foundation for future success. These activities cultivate discipline, teamwork, and dedication, essential traits for personal and professional growth. He also administered an oath to all participants to compete with a spirit of sportsmanship.

Competitions and Highlights
The Principal, Dr. Saroj Garg, outlined the program's structure, featuring a wide range of competitions including 100m, 200m, and 400m races, shot put, discus throw, badminton, chess, and table tennis. Cultural events like mehndi design, rangoli, solo and group dances, face painting, and hair styling, along with literary contests such as poetry recitation, extempore speech, and quizzes, are also part of the schedule.

Special Events and Salutes
The inauguration saw an impressive parade by the college’s NCC cadets, followed by a DGT drill display, with Prof. Sarangdevot commending their hard work and discipline.

Highlights of Upcoming Events
The competition will conclude with the Mr. and Miss LMTT Contest, where participants will showcase their personality, skills, and creativity.
