Raffles University Hosts Sixth Convocation Ceremony

Neemrana/New Delhi, – Raffles University, situated on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway in Neemrana, celebrated its sixth convocation ceremony with great pride and academic fervour. Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupendra Yadav, conferred degrees upon 344 students, including 21 recipients of prestigious gold medals.


In his convocation address, Bhupendra Yadav emphasized the importance of balancing knowledge with intellectual and emotional intelligence. “In this digital and social era, success comes to those who harmonize knowledge with emotional strength,” he remarked. He encouraged students to continue learning and to focus on building mental and emotional resilience. “As you step into the real world, your academic accomplishments will serve not just your growth, but also contribute meaningfully to society,” he added.

Yadav also touched upon pressing environmental issues, stating that India stands as a solution-oriented nation in the global fight against climate change. He stressed the significance of coexistence between all living and non-living entities to ensure an eco-friendly lifestyle for future generations.

The convocation witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including Supreme Court of India Judge, Justice Dipankar Dutta, and His Excellency Mohammed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, Dubai. In recognition of his global contributions, Mohammed Alabbar was conferred with the honorary doctorate degree (Honoris Causa) during the ceremony.

The event commenced with the traditional academic procession, followed by the presentation of the university's annual report by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Singh Sangwan. Reflecting on the occasion, Prof. Sangwan described it as a celebration of the students’ academic journey, calling it a stepping stone in their pursuit of innovation and lifelong learning.

The ceremony was presided over by University Chairperson Vivek Gomber, and also witnessed the presence of Dr. Justice Meena V. Gomber, Chairperson of the Gomber Education Foundation. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by the Registrar.
