####United Global Vice Chancellors Peace Foundation to be Established Soon

Lucknow: Preparations are in the final stage for the establishment of the “United Global Vice Chancellors Peace Foundation,” a body aimed at bringing together the academic world of India and abroad on a common platform. The foundation will have its headquarters in Lucknow, while regional offices will be set up in nearly ten major cities including Jaipur, Delhi, Bhopaneswar, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Chennai.

Objectives of the Foundation

The key objective of the foundation is to harmonize India’s education system with international academic standards. Its initiatives will cover school education, higher education, skill development, the promotion of India’s knowledge traditions, local tourism, and the creation of a concrete roadmap for “Viksit Bharat 2047.” The foundation will also focus on strengthening research activities and fostering collaborations with international universities.

Academic Leaders on Board

Recently, a meeting of educationists was organized at the Constitution Club in Jaipur, where the detailed action plan of the foundation was discussed. A special panel of former and current vice chancellors has been formed to streamline the initiative. Prof. Amarika Singh has been entrusted with the responsibility of mobilizing resources. It is expected that the foundation will become fully operational within the next three months.

Infrastructure and Membership

Land is being arranged in Lucknow and Jaipur for the construction of foundation buildings. The body will function as a non-governmental organization and will establish wide-ranging communication with vice chancellors and senior professors at the national and international level.

Prominent educationists associated with this initiative include former Vice Chancellor Prof. Ratanlal Godara, Vice Chancellor Prof. D.P. Tiwari, former Vice Chancellor Prof. Gulab Jaiswal, and Prof. Shailendra Chaturvedi. Around 25 vice chancellors from across the country are already connected with the campaign and will encourage universities to join as members.

Significantly, the membership of this federation will remain free of cost. The initiative has generated enthusiasm and positive energy within the education sector, raising hopes of stronger global academic collaboration.
