Sapta Shakti Command conducted a seminar on the “Contribution of Veterans in Nation Building.

Jaipur, Sapta Shakti Command conducted a seminar on ‘Contribution of Veterans in Nation Building’ at Jaipur Military Station on 30 Sep 2025.  The seminar attended by veterans and serving officers of Jaipur Military Station.

 


Three eminent veteran speakers, Maj Gen Alok Raj Goyal, Brig K Birender Singh and Brig Karan Singh Rathore, highlighted the significant role of veterans in building a stronger and secure India.  The speakers emphasised key areas where veterans can contribute effectively in synergising and strengthening civil-military agencies to enhance national security, harnessing their potential in the training of Para Military Forces (PMF), particularly in counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism (CI/CT) environments, utilising their expertise in disaster management and relief operation to support civil authorities and capitalising on their diverse trades and skill sets to further national development initiatives.  The speakers also suggested government initiatives and interventions in furtherance of contribution of veterans in nation-building.

In his concluding remarks, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, urged all ranks to remain steadfast in their devotion to duty, uphold the proud traditions of the Indian Armed Forces and continue serving the nation with commitment.  He also underlined the importance of organised reskilling of veterans, enabling them to play a more effective role during national calamities, fire hazards and other contingencies.  The Army Commander added that Command and Corps Headquarters can spearhead such initiatives, ensuring that the vast experience and expertise of veterans are channelised for the greater good of society.

The seminar also underscored the invaluable experience and expertise that veterans bring to national development and security, reinforcing their continuing role as pillars of India’s progress.
