### Udaipur Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Enthusiasm

**Udaipur,  The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, joy, and patriotic fervor across Udaipur district on Thursday. The main event at Gandhi Ground saw the esteemed presence of Tribal Area Development and Home Guard Minister Babulal Kharaḍī, who hoisted the national flag and extended his greetings to all on this momentous occasion. Following the flag hoisting, Minister Kharaḍī inspected the parade, which featured students from the police, NCC, and Scout and Guide units performing a synchronized march-past. 


The event commenced with the reading of the Governor’s message by ADM Administration, Deependra Singh.


**Dignitaries and Media Personnel in Attendance:**
The ceremony was graced by several notable personalities, including Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Ravat, District Head Smt. Mamta Panwar, MLA Tarachand Jain, Mayor Govind Singh Tank, District and Sessions Judge Gyan Prakash Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt, IG Ajaypal Lamba, District Collector Arvind Poswal, SP Yogesh Goyal, UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash, ADM City Rajeev Dwivedi, Zilla Parishad CEO Kirti Rathore, former MLA Vandana Meena, Deputy District Head Pushkar Teli, social worker Ravindra Shrimali, Chandragupt Singh Chauhan, and numerous other local representatives, senior officials, families of martyrs and freedom fighters, students from various schools, and residents of the city. Media professionals, including Karan Singh Solanki of *Dainik Bhaskar* and Nisha Rathore of *News18 Digital,* were also present, documenting the event's significance and capturing the spirit of the celebration.


**Honoring the Families of Martyrs and Democracy Warriors:**
During the ceremony, Minister Kharaḍī honored the families of Udaipur's martyrs, including Lt. Abhinav Nagaori's parents Dharma Chand and Sushila Nagaori, Major Mustafa's mother Smt. Fatima, Archit Wardiya's mother Bina Wardiya, and Mohanlal Tejawat's wife Smt. Shankar Devi Tejawat, by draping them in shawls and presenting them with coconut offerings. Additionally, democracy warriors were recognized for their contributions.

**Parade and NSS Triumph:**
A key highlight of the event was the parade, conducted under the direction of Prem Shankar Shrimali, Lining Officer of NCC Headquarters Udaipur and retired military officer, along with physical instructor OP Yadav and parade commander RI Gulab Singh. Units from Rajasthan Police, Home Guard, and the National Service Scheme (NSS) marched in perfect unison to the rhythm of the band, filling the ground with patriotic energy. The parade was led by SI Devilal (male police team), SI Mamta (female police team), HPC Manish (male Home Guard team), HPC Yashoda (female Home Guard team), Vikram Singh (NSS SD Army Wing Boys), Shubhangini (NSS SW Girls), Isha (Naval Wing), and Digvijay (Air Wing), among others. The disciplined steps and synchronized movements of the parade enthralled the audience, resonating with applause and chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai.'

**Recognition of Exemplary Service:**
A total of 97 individuals were honored for their outstanding services across various fields. Noteworthy among them were Ravi Prakash Lamba, Deputy Director of the Pension and Pensioners' Welfare Department; Rajkumari Menaria, Women Security Sakhi; Damini Shrimali, Additional Administrative Officer of TAD; and Arun Chaubisa, Assistant Accounts Officer II at the IG Office. Media personalities like RJ Arpit Jain of *FF Tadaka Radio* and Nisha Rathore of *News18 Digital* were also recognized for their significant contributions.

**Special Attractions:**
The event also featured a march-past by Digambar Jain School, a special exercise performance by students from Abhilasha Special Uma School, and a group exercise demonstration by students from Central Academy. Children from St. Teresa School, dressed in various regional attires, performed a patriotic dance, showcasing India's unity in diversity. The event concluded with the National Anthem performed by students of Residency School. The program was effectively anchored by announcers Rajendra Sen, Dr. Seema Champawat, and Madhuri Sharma.

The event reflected the collective pride and commitment of the people of Udaipur, as the city joined the nation in celebrating its 78th Independence Day with reverence and joy.
