### New Generation Joins Gawri Tradition in Sundarwas

Udaipur – Mewar's renowned folk tradition, Gawri, continues to resonate through towns and villages, drawing significant attention. In a 40-day ritual of devotion to Goddess Gaurja, the Bhil community faithfully observes fasting while performing Gawri in various locations. On Friday, the artists from Loyra village presented the Gawri dance at Shiv Chowk in northern Sundarwas, attracting a large crowd from the morning onwards.

What stood out in this performance was the active participation of the younger generation under the guidance of their elders. From five-year-old children to teenagers and young adults, the performers skillfully delivered traditional Gawri acts, offering moments of laughter and emotional depth. Their engagement not only preserved the essence of this ancient art form but also ensured its continuity through the involvement of future generations.
