Government Committed to Encouraging Sports Talent: Shri Kharadi*

*Udaipur,  Minister for Tribal Area Development, Shri Babulal Kharadi, emphasized that there is no shortage of sports talent in the state, and the government is fully committed to identifying and nurturing these talents. 

Shri Kharadi was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 68th district-level student (under-14) Kabaddi competition, hosted by Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Dangi ka Guda, at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Talent Search Stadium, Dangi ka Guda, under the Panchayat Samiti Badgaon, on Sunday. While wishing the players, he urged them to play with sportsmanship. He also announced the construction of a boundary wall and spectator gallery for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sports Stadium and administered the sports oath to officially open the 68th district-level student Kabaddi competition.

The event saw the presence of Gogaunda MLA Pratap Lal Gameti, District Chief Smt. Mamta Kunwar, Deputy District Chief Pushkar Teli, District Council Member Dr. Pushpa Sharma, Badgaon Panchayat Samiti Head Smt. Pratibha Nagda, Lakhawali Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Mohan Lal Dangi, Additional Chief Block Education Officer Smt. Asha Mogiya, former Head Khubilal Paliwal, former Sarpanch Devi Singh of Lakhawali, social worker Jitendra Nagda, and Acting PEEO Smt. Meena Mehta. Principal of the host school, Smt. Madhurilata Sharma, welcomed the guests, followed by a welcome address by Pratibha Nagda. Many ward members, prominent citizens, and villagers from Lakhawali attended the event.

The competition witnessed participation from 750 players across 64 teams from the district. The program was compered by Keshulal Dangi and Payal Kumawat. The opening match took place between the teams of RUPS Bharodi, Gogaunda, and RUMPS Kaloda, Badgaon.
