SPSU's Spectacular 5KM Walkathon at Fatehsagar Lake Promoting Sustainability

Promoting environmental conservation and sustainable practices Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) Udaipur organised 5KM Walkathon: Steps for Sustainability at Fatehsagar Lake on May 18, 2024. The event showcased SPSU's solidarity and dedication towards nurturing holistic development and endorsing sustainable ethos within its community and beyond. The Walkathon was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav, the Honourable Vice Chancellor and President, SPSU.

Welcoming esteemed guests, including Mr. Tanishq Patwa, International Kayaking player and others Prof. Yadav emphasized on the integral connection between physical health and mental well-being. He also highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering a positive mindset and reinforcing the significance of environmental ministration. With over 600 enthusiastic participants, including residents of the city, members of the SPSU fraternity, and dynamic youth, the Walkathon not only advocated for sustainability but also embodied a spirit of collective action and responsibility towards our environment.

United by a shared vision, people from all walks of life came together for the social cause and took meaningful steps towards a brighter, more

sustainable world. The event was coordinated by Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Director Sports, Lt. Col. Neeraj Kumar, Campus Director, Dr. DS Chouhan, Deputy Dean Student Welfare and Mr. Praveen Jhala Sports Officer.
