“Special Excise Drive Targets Illegal Liquor”

Udaipur,Under the directive of Excise Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate, a special preventive campaign has been launched across Rajasthan during the Diwali festival to curb the production, storage, transportation, and sale of illegal liquor. The campaign includes intensified patrolling, roadblocks, and raids, with significant action taken in districts including Bhilwara, Churu, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, and Jodhpur.

Following a zero-tolerance policy, the campaign targets cross-state liquor smuggling, illegal liquor transportation, and sales. Night patrols, roadblocks, and raids have been intensified throughout the state to ensure effective enforcement.

Key Actions Across Districts:

Nagaur: Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Ucheria village, arresting Trilokchand Bawri. Previously, on March 9, 2025, his premises were found with 400 liters of spirits, 15,000 labels, 62,000 caps, 23,000 empty bottles, 2 packing machines, and 720 fake liquor bottles. The illegal factory employed workers for liquor production.

Bhilwara: Raids and patrols in Ojiyada village and Jyoti Nagar, Bhilwara city, led to two cases registered.

Churu: Roadblocks in Hisar Road, Rajgarh, and Bharatmala, Lunkaransar led to intense vehicle inspections.

Sri Ganganagar: In Suratgarh, under the supervision of Excise Inspector Anand Kumar Godara, three illegal distilleries and 900 liters of wash were destroyed, with two cases registered. Enforcement included EPF teams and local police.

Bikaner: 293 bottles of country liquor seized in rural areas; intensive vehicle checks continue.

Jodhpur: Patrolling and roadblocks in Bharatmala Dhadhania and Daulatpura resulted in thorough inspections.

Across all districts, excise officials, inspectors, and enforcement teams continue rigorous patrols and raids, strictly implementing the zero-tolerance policy against illegal liquor.
