The Chairman of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Government of India, Prof. Pankaj Arora, arrived in Udaipur on Wednesday. He was warmly received at the airport by Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, Assistant Professor Dr. Yuvraj Singh Rathore, and Personal Secretary Krishnakant Kumawat with a shawl and bouquet.
The Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University will organize its 21st Convocation Ceremony on Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Maharana Pratap Sports Ground, Pratap Nagar, Udaipur.
Sharing details, Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot informed that the Chief Guest for the ceremony will be Prof. Pankaj Arora, Chairman, NCTE, New Delhi. The Guest of Honour will be Prof. Pratapsingh Chauhan, Vice-Chancellor of Bhakt Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh, Gujarat, and Prof. Kailash Sodani, Advisor to the Governor (Higher Education). The ceremony will be presided over by Chancellor and Kulpramukh Bhanwarlal Gurjar.
More than 5,000 students and eminent citizens of the city are expected to attend the event. During the convocation, 126 scholars will be conferred PhD degrees, and 48 students who secured top positions in undergraduate and postgraduate examinations for the academic year 2024–25 will be honored with degrees and gold medals.
Controller of Examinations Dr. Paras Jain informed that 44 students from various disciplines — Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Agriculture, Computer Science, MBA, Social Work, and Education — will receive gold medals.
Degree recipients have been instructed to attend the ceremony in white traditional attire — kurta-pajama for male students and salwar-kurta or saree for female students.
Various committees have been formed to ensure smooth conduct of the grand event.
