Lucknow. The National-level Book Exhibition and the Sixth Annual Excellence Awards organized by The Lucknow Tribune were held at Balrampur Garden in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The event witnessed the participation of eminent academicians, doctors, industrialists, and intellectuals from across the country.
On this occasion, distinguished personalities who have excelled in diverse fields such as education, medicine, sports, startups, Indian knowledge tradition, technical education, student exchange programs, and industrial development were honored. Six Vice Chancellors from across the country were also conferred with special recognition.
Among the awardees, Prof. Amarika Singh, former Vice Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, was prominently honored. Prof. Singh has made significant contributions during his long tenure at Uttar Pradesh Technical University (IET) as a faculty member, Head of Department, Dean, and in the establishment of institutions. He currently serves as the President of RDJS Group of Institutions and is actively engaged in providing rural students with academic exposure in foreign universities through student exchange programs. He is also contributing significantly to the preservation and promotion of India’s traditional knowledge systems.
Prof. Amarika Singh has nearly 48 years of academic experience. He has played a remarkable role in policy formulation and its effective implementation, particularly in the fields of technical education and investment.
The chief guest of the program was Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director of Kalyan Singh Institute of Cancer and former Vice Chancellor of King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. Distinguished guests included Prof. Balraj Chauhan, former Vice Chancellor, along with other senior academicians.
