####GDRI Hosts Advanced Zygomatic Implantology & Immediate Implant Live Surgery Program

Udaipur,  Marking a significant milestone in the field of modern dentistry, the Department of Prosthodontics at Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute, Udaipur successfully inaugurated a two-day Live Surgery Course and Hands-on Workshop on “Advanced Zygomatic Implantology and Immediate Implants.” The program, held on February 14 and 15, 2026, witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 350 prosthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, faculty members, postgraduate and undergraduate students from across the country.

The scientific sessions covered advanced techniques in zygomatic implants, immediate loading protocols, pterygoid implants, treatment planning in complex clinical scenarios, and digital implantology. Through live surgical demonstrations, participants gained practical insights into complex case management, enabling them to understand and adopt the latest advancements in contemporary implant dentistry.

The Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Ankit Agrawal, Executive Director of the Geetanjali Group. In his address, he emphasized that such academic initiatives represent progress in advanced implant dentistry, particularly in managing challenging clinical conditions. The combination of expert lectures, live surgical demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions provided participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.

The event was conducted as part of “Fest Synapse 2026,” symbolizing the institution’s spirit of unity, creativity, and academic excellence. Through this initiative, the institute once again reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and excellence in dental education and clinical practice.

During the workshop, senior maxillofacial surgeon and implantologist Dr. Sankalp Mittal from Government Dental College and Hospital, Jaipur, delivered detailed sessions on key aspects of zygomatic implantology and immediate implant management.

Additionally, Professor and Head of the Department Dr. Jyoti Kundu presented a special lecture on implant prosthesis rehabilitation, highlighting advanced techniques for functional and aesthetic restoration following implant placement. She shared her expertise on treatment planning in complex clinical conditions, surgical protocols, and modern approaches required to achieve predictable and successful outcomes.

The two-day program proved to be a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and professional growth—setting a new benchmark in advanced implant dentistry training.
