It’s Like Living a Dream”: Brec Bassinger Joins Final Destination: Bloodlines

Mumbai – New Line Cinema’s iconic and long-running horror franchise returns with a chilling new chapter: Final Destination: Bloodlines. Directed by Adam Stein and Zack Lipovsky, the latest installment promises to once again immerse audiences in the terrifying realm of death’s design.

As the Final Destination series celebrates its 25th anniversary, it’s remarkable that many of the film’s young cast members — including Brec Bassinger, who stars as Iris — are just as old or younger than the franchise itself. Set in 1969, Iris’s story unfolds during a pivotal night, and for Bassinger, being part of this world is surreal.

"I’ve never known a time when this franchise didn’t exist," Bassinger shares. "To now be part of it feels like living a dream."

Her connection with the franchise runs deeper than childhood fandom. She previously collaborated with director Adam Stein on a pilot project, and her on-screen mother in The Man in the White Van was none other than Ellie Larter, a key figure in the first two Final Destination films. Bassinger recalls eagerly asking Larter what it was like to star in such terrifying films and later texted her excitedly upon joining the franchise: “Now I’m walking the same path you once did!”

Joining Bassinger in the cast are Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tony Todd — the franchise’s legendary recurring figure.

The film is set to release in India on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu
