Yogesh Bhawra of Bharatpur will receive this year's Shravan Kumar Subhash Lakhotia Shravan Kumar Award

New Delhi . The Rajasthani Academy, New Delhi, will present this year's Shravan Kumar Subhash Lakhotia Shravan Kumar Award to Yogesh Bhawra of Bharatpur. This award is given in memory of social activist Subhash Lakhotia to a son who selflessly serves his father. The award consists of one lakh rupees in cash, a certificate, and a memento.

 

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, President of the Rajasthani Academy, stated that this year's ninth Subhash Lakhotia Award will be presented on Wednesday, October 29th, at a ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Galiv Auditorium near ITO in New Delhi. Suman Maheshwari, Secretary of the organization, stated that the 33rd Rajasthani Folk Song Competition will be held on this occasion, in which school students from the National Capital Region (NCR) will participate and present Rajasthani dance performances. Prizes will also be presented to the winning artists of the 13th annual painting competition.

 

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, President of the Rajasthan Academy, Delhi, and Suman Maheshwari, Secretary, stated that the Rajasthan Academy, New Delhi, has been awarding the Subhash Lakhotia Shravan Kumar Award for the past eight years and has also organized a Rajasthani folk song competition for the past 32 years. This year, senior Rajasthan journalist Yogesh Bhawra, a native of Bayana town in Bharatpur district, Rajasthan, has been selected for the award. This award is given to deserving sons and daughters who have served their parents like Shravan Kumar, bestowing them the status of Shravan Kumar. A jury considers the applications received and selects the most deserving candidates.
