###Historians’ Delegation Meets Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar

Udaipur, A distinguished delegation of historians met Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar at The City Palace, Udaipur, where he formally released the book “Hindupati Maharana Sangram Singh Pratham – Swatantrata ke Dhwajdhārak”, dedicated to the legendary warrior king Maharana Sanga.

During the interaction, Dr. Mewar engaged in meaningful discussions with eminent historians about the rich culture of the Sanga era, rare archival documents, and socio-political developments of that time. He invited historians and researchers for future dialogues, evidence-based studies, and lecture series, assuring all possible support through the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF).

Verses from the Book (in Hinglish as requested)

By Pandit Narendra Mishra:
“Iski assi ghaavon waali gāthā kitni yashvardhak hai.
Rana Sanga ki arinaashak jay-nishtha kirti-vivardhak hai.
Sanga janme yahin pratāpi, punya-dhwaja pharaayi;
Azaadi ki amar lālasa ambar tak laharayi.
Assi ghaav hue tan par, phir bhi talwar na chhodi;
Veer prasoota Mewadi mitti ki aan na todi.
Mastani Ranchandi bhi Sanga se tharrati thi;
Kar mein khinchi kripaan dekhkar Dilli bhay khaati thi.”

By Kavi Madhav Darak:
“Assi haan ghaav lage tan pe,
wah Sanga nahi himmat hāra.
Aankh gayi ek, paanv gaya,
ek haath gaya — na liya hai sahara.
Aisa tha veer mahaabali Rana wo,
yudh mein jeevan tha beeta saara.”

Historical Note

Renowned historian Gaurishankar Hirachand Ojha once described Maharana Sanga as the last great Hindu ruler under whose leadership diverse communities united to drive foreign invaders out of India. Under his command, the political units of Rajputana stood together in an unprecedented display of unity.
