Udaipur: As part of the observance of International Yoga Day 2026, a three-day free Yoga and Heartfulness Meditation Camp was successfully organized at the Community Hall in Purohiton Ki Madri, Ward 41. The camp was conducted jointly by the Heartfulness Institute Udaipur Centre and the Bharat Swabhiman Nyas and Patanjali Yoga Samiti Family, Udaipur, under the nationwide initiative of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
Camp Coordinator Mohan Singh Shaktawat informed that the camp commenced on June 2. On the opening day, participants practiced regular yoga sessions in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol. A special meditation session based on the Heartfulness method was also conducted, focusing on heart-centered meditation techniques.
Throughout the three-day camp, meditation sessions were led by Dr. Subodh Kumar Sharma, a trainer associated with the Heartfulness Institute. A large number of local residents participated in the sessions and experienced mental calmness, positive thinking, and spiritual upliftment.
Yoga trainer Devilal Chandel guided participants through simple yoga practices prescribed under the yoga protocol. In addition, Ms. Ranjana conducted Brighter Minds exercises and introduced participants to simple techniques aimed at enhancing cognitive intelligence. She explained that these exercises help improve thinking, understanding, learning, memory, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, contributing significantly to overall mental development.
Expressing gratitude to the trainers, Manohar Lal Chawda, President of the Yoga Samiti, stated that yoga strengthens and keeps the body healthy, while meditation calms, focuses, and balances the mind. The combination of yoga and meditation, he said, helps individuals lead a stress-free, energetic, and successful life.
During the concluding session, participants pledged to incorporate regular yoga and meditation into their daily routines. People of all age groups enthusiastically participated in the program. The organizers urged residents to take maximum advantage of such wellness initiatives and emphasized that promoting yoga and meditation among the masses is essential for building a healthy, happy, and balanced society.
