Union of the Soul with the Supreme Before Death is Life’s Greatest Achievement: Anantram Shastri Maharaj

Udaipur: On the second day of the Shrimad Bhagavata Katha Gyan-Yajna Mahotsav, organized by the Shri Tailik Sahu Samaj Panch Mahasabha (Chhah Baithak), Udaipur during the auspicious Purushottam Maas, revered spiritual orator Pujya Shri Anantram Shastri Maharaj delivered inspiring discourses filled with spiritual wisdom, guiding devotees toward devotion, self-realization, and liberation (moksha).

Addressing the gathering, Shastri Maharaj emphasized that human birth is extremely rare and precious, as it alone provides the opportunity to attain liberation. He stated that worldly comforts and material pleasures are temporary, whereas devotion to God leads the soul toward eternal peace and union with the Supreme Being.

He remarked, “If the soul merges with the Supreme before death fulfills its role, that is the greatest achievement of human life.”

During the discourse, Shastri Ji vividly narrated the life of Bhakta Prahlad, highlighting that age is never a barrier to true devotion. At the tender age of five, Prahlad attained divine grace through the constant chanting of the sacred mantra “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya,” proving that unwavering faith and sincere devotion can make even the impossible possible.

He further explained that only one’s righteous deeds accompany the soul after death. Therefore, every individual should strive to make life meaningful by following the path of righteousness, service, moral conduct, and devotion. His enlightening words left the devotees deeply moved and spiritually inspired.

Society President Advocate Hemendra Pandiyar informed that there is tremendous enthusiasm among community members and followers of Sanatan Dharma regarding the ongoing event, with large numbers of devotees attending the daily discourses.

General Secretary Kanhaiyalal Nainawa stated that receipts for the Brahmin feast (Brahman Bhoj), organized as part of the Vrat Udyapan rituals, are being collected at the venue itself.

Treasurer Bharat Pachlodia noted that several philanthropists and well-wishers have generously contributed to the successful organization of the religious event.

Katha Convenor Jagdish Pandiyar announced that Wednesday’s discourse will feature the divine narration of the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, along with other sacred episodes.

The Bhagavata Katha Mahotsav, being held during the holy month of Purushottam Maas, continues to offer a confluence of devotion, wisdom, and spiritual detachment, inspiring devotees toward inner growth, self-realization, and ultimate spiritual welfare.
