Mayad OTT Platform Launched in Udaipur; Rajasthani Film ‘Vadlya Hindwa’ Premieres

Udaipur, The regional entertainment industry in Rajasthan received a boost on Sunday with the launch of the Mayad OTT platform, the digital premiere of the Rajasthani film 'Vadlya Hindwa', and the organisation of a one-day acting workshop for aspiring artists in Udaipur.

Organised by Mayad Studios, the workshop brought together around 100 aspiring actors from different districts of Rajasthan. Participants underwent practical training in various aspects of acting, with sessions focusing on performance techniques rooted in Bharata Muni's Natyashastra, including the four principal forms of acting—Angika, Vachika, Aharya and Sattvika.

The workshop also covered body language, facial expressions, stage and camera acting, dialogue delivery, audition techniques, self-introduction, personality development and professional acting skills. Industry experts conducted interactive sessions aimed at preparing participants for opportunities in film and digital entertainment.

Speaking on the occasion, D.P. Singh Basni, founder, writer and director of Mayad Studios, said the initiative was intended not only to establish an OTT platform but also to promote Rajasthan's language, culture, folk arts and emerging talent on national and international platforms.

"Mayad aims to provide artists from Rajasthan with opportunities to showcase their talent and pursue careers in films, web series and digital entertainment," he said.

The event was attended by theatre artist Deepak Dixit, skill development and image-building expert Subasto Daksh Pandey, international Kathak exponent Tina Rathore, actor Priya Sharma, actor and influencer Abhi Soni, industrialist Mukesh Madhvani, and members of the Mayad Studios team. The guests encouraged participants and highlighted the importance of nurturing regional talent.

The programme also witnessed the formal launch of the Mayad OTT app, followed by the digital premiere of the Rajasthani film 'Vadlya Hindwa', which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.

Participants described the initiative as a significant step for Rajasthan's film industry and appreciated the platform for creating opportunities for emerging artists. The organisers announced plans to conduct similar acting workshops, auditions and film-related programmes in other cities across the State.

Mayad Studios said the initiative seeks to strengthen the presence of Rajasthani language, culture and cinema in the digital entertainment space while creating new avenues for young talent in the regional film industry.
