Udaipur: Once again, Udaipur has earned global recognition through an extraordinary feat of miniature craftsmanship. Internationally acclaimed gold artisan and holder of 211 world records, Professor Dr. Iqbal Sakka, has created the world’s smallest tricolor Tazia, crafted from gold and silver and measuring no larger than a grain of rice.

This remarkable miniature masterpiece has been delicately placed inside a tiny boat. While it appears as a mere speck to the naked eye, a magnifying lens reveals intricate details, including a golden dome, a two-section railing, and an ornamental canopy. The creation showcases Dr. Sakka’s exceptional precision and artistic brilliance.
Adding to its uniqueness, the miniature Tazia has been displayed floating in a water-filled vessel aboard the tiny boat, symbolizing the traditional Muharram procession. The tricolor design beautifully reflects the spirit of national unity and communal harmony.
Dr. Sakka stated that, as in previous years, this year’s Muharram observances in Udaipur will feature a ceremonial procession of the world’s smallest tricolor Tazia on the day of the city’s historic “Chhadiyon Ka Julus” (Procession of Sticks). The miniature Tazia will be accorded a symbolic salute alongside the traditional ceremonial staffs.
The rice-grain-sized creation has generated immense curiosity and admiration among residents. Citizens have described it as a unique blend of artistry, devotion, and patriotism. With this extraordinary work, Dr. Iqbal Sakka has once again demonstrated that true craftsmanship knows no limits of size, only excellence.
