72 Encroachments Removed; Protest Erupts Near Transport Nagar in Savina

Udaipur — A tense situation arose near Transport Nagar in Savina Gram Panchayat’s Kotadiya Fala area after the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) demolished 72 encroachments on Friday. In protest, several agitated men and women climbed a water tank and threatened to commit suicide.

Upon receiving the information, the Goverdhan Vilas Police Station Officer reached the site with the team to control the situation. Soon after, Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, BJP District President Gajpal Singh Rathore, State Disaster Relief Department Convenor Dr. Jinendra Shastri, Mandal President Amrit Menaria, Sunil Choudhary, Parvinder Singh, Surendra Singh, BJYM leader Sunny Pokhran Rao, Umrao Singh, B.S. Rao, and several party workers also arrived at the spot.

The leaders convinced the protesting residents to come down from the water tank and assured them that the matter would be taken up with the Chief Minister for appropriate relief measures.
