###CPI (ML) Holds Third District Conference in Pratapgarh, Ranglal Meena Elected District Secretary

Pratapgarh: Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) successfully concluded its third district conference in Pratapgarh with enthusiastic participation from delegates, party workers, and representatives of mass organizations from across the district. The conference witnessed detailed discussions on the prevailing political, economic, and social conditions at the national, state, and district levels, while reaffirming the party’s commitment to strengthening people’s movements.

A 15-member district committee was unanimously elected during the conference, with Ranglal Meena chosen as the District Secretary. Central Committee member Farhat Banu attended the conference as observer.

Addressing the gathering, State Secretary Shankarlal Chaudhary accused the BJP-led central government of aggressively implementing pro-corporate policies at the expense of the working masses. He alleged that processes such as SIR are being used to weaken the voting rights of poor, Dalit, tribal, and minority communities, and stressed the need for a broad democratic resistance against such actions.

State Committee member Ranglal Meena expressed solidarity with workers’ movements opposing the four labour codes introduced by the central government. He stated that workers across the country, including in Rajasthan and Noida, have staged strong protests against attempts to increase working hours, weaken job security, and curb trade union rights.

Speaking on women’s political participation, Farhat Banu criticized the government for linking women’s reservation with delimitation, saying it reflects a lack of genuine intent to ensure representation for women in Parliament.

Farmers’ Sabha leader Laluram Patel strongly criticized the recent statement by the Rajasthan Chief Minister regarding farmers, calling it an insult to the hard work and struggles faced by the farming community. He highlighted issues such as rising agricultural costs, irrigation crises, debt burdens, and inadequate crop prices.

Senior party member Uda raised local issues concerning Pratapgarh district, including the demand for an agricultural produce market in Dhariyawad and increasing the height of the Bhanwar-Shemla dam to expand irrigation facilities. Baboolal from Devla highlighted struggles for improving school infrastructure and basic facilities in rural areas.

Saurabh Naruka and Chandradev Ola stated that the conference resolved to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level through village-to-village outreach campaigns and intensify struggles on issues concerning workers, farmers, youth, women, and tribal communities.

The conference proceedings were conducted by Lalu Patel, while the political and organizational report presented by Saurabh Naruka was unanimously adopted. Several leaders and activists, including Uda, Havji, Gautam Meena, and Dilkhush, also addressed the gathering.
