#### Solar Cooker Becomes a Companion in Illness

At her residence in Arvind Nagar this afternoon, Dr. Manju Jain, who has been cooking with a solar cooker for the past 42 years, shared her experience with nursing college students and the women present. She said that the solar cooker has become her true companion during illness. Even though her health has not been well for the past four to five days, she has faced no difficulty in preparing meals because of the solar cooker.

She explained that she regularly motivates women to use solar cookers, and as a result, 25 women have purchased new solar cookers, while another 25 women have revived the unused solar cookers lying in their homes and started using them again.

For many of the students, this was the first time they had seen a solar cooker. Demonstrating its working mechanism, Dr. Manju Jain explained that all types of meals can be prepared easily in it. She described how she prepared makki ki baati, kadhi, and khichdi in the cooker today.

Kamla Dangi, Dhanisha, Lakshya Vohra, Mansha Dodiya, and Jal Mitra Dr. P.C. Jain were also present during the programme.
