####68th Academic Council Meeting of MPUAT Concludes in Udaipur

Udaipur — Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, held its 68th Academic Council meeting on November 28, 2025 at the University Secretariat under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh.

The key agenda of the meeting included major decisions regarding the degrees and gold medals to be awarded at the upcoming convocation. For the first time, the university has instituted the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal, which will be awarded to the undergraduate student securing the highest marks and demonstrating outstanding academic excellence.

This year, degrees will be awarded to 934 undergraduate, 171 postgraduate, and 76 doctoral (Vidya Vachaspati) students from the Faculties of Agriculture, Engineering, and Community & Applied Sciences. In recognition of exceptional performance, 14 undergraduate, 22 postgraduate, and 2 doctoral students will receive gold medals.

Additionally, two gold medals sponsored by Jain Irrigation Institute and one each in memory of Late Phool Singh Rathore and Brigadier Anil Adalka will be conferred. A Chancellor’s Gold Medal will also be awarded to a meritorious student from the College of Community and Applied Sciences.

The meeting was attended by Academic Council members including Dr. R.L. Soni, Dr. Dhriti Solanki, Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahla, Dr. R.P. Meena, Dr. Ram Hari Meena, Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Dr. Sunil Joshi, and Dr. L.L. Panwar, among others.
Nominated member Dr. Chandeshwar Tiwari—renowned agricultural educationist and former Director of Extension Education, VCSG Horticulture & Forestry University, Bharsar (Uttarakhand)—joined the proceedings virtually.

The meeting concluded with Registrar Shri Ashok Kumar expressing gratitude to all participating members.
