Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore Nominated as Member of ICAR Management Board

Udaipur. Renowned agricultural scientist, former Deputy Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and former Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore has been nominated as a Member of the Management Board of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and Hazaribagh–Assam, by the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Rathore has also served as the Founder Vice-Chancellor of Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner, and as a member of the Rajasthan State Farmers’ Loan Waiver Scheme Commission. During his tenure as Vice-Chancellor of MPUAT, his remarkable contributions towards strengthening agricultural education in Rajasthan earned him the Best Vice-Chancellor Award from Raj Bhavan.

Dr. Rathore expressed his gratitude to ICAR Director General Dr. M. L. Jat and IARI Director Dr. C. H. Srinivasa Rao for his nomination. The agricultural scientific community across the country has warmly welcomed his appointment.

Dr. Rathore stated that he will strive to create new opportunities for qualitative improvements in agricultural education, research, and extension, ensuring a new direction and enhanced excellence in the field.
