Reviving a 73-Year-Old Heart

Udaipur - Paras Health, Udaipur's specialists, performed a successful procedure involving Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) and coronary angioplasty to relieve a 73-year-old woman from her heart-related issues. Following the procedure, she is now enjoying a renewed life. Performing coronary interventions with coronary classification can be challenging, a feat that was accomplished successfully by Dr. Hitesh Yadav, Consultant Cardiology, and his team at Paras Health, Udaipur. 

Dr. Hitesh Yadav, Consultant Cardiology at Paras Health, Udaipur, explained that when the woman came to them, she had been suffering from chest pain and breathlessness for over 6 months. Upon examination and coronary angiography, severe Left Main and Triple Vessel Disease were observed, and interventional surgery was recommended. After obtaining consent from the patient's family, the decision was made to perform coronary angioplasty along with Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL), and the procedure was successfully conducted with safety precautions. The procedure went well, and after the woman's recovery, she was discharged from the hospital. The patient and her family expressed gratitude to the specialists at Paras Health, Udaipur, stating that they had given her a new life through their expertise and qualifications.
