Bank Branch Merger Errors Corrected in Rural Service Camp

Sriganganagar, Under the directions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, rural service camps held across the district are resolving public issues on the spot while extending the benefits of central and state government welfare schemes directly to the beneficiaries. Grateful citizens expressed their appreciation towards the Chief Minister and the Rajasthan Government for the timely relief.

A camp was organized at Gram Panchayat 11 LNP under the Sriganganagar Panchayat Samiti. Revenue Patwari Yogesh Goyal informed that, as part of the pre-camp preparations, a list of 47 inaccuracies related to bank branch mergers was compiled after reading the jamabandi records in the presence of local farmers. It was observed that entries of merged banks—such as Corporation Bank with Union Bank of India, OBC Bank with Punjab National Bank, and SBBJ Bank with State Bank of India—were recorded incorrectly and required correction.

During the camp, applications were received for name and record corrections from Inderjeet (son of Daulatram, Chak 16 ML), Karan Singh (son of Pola Singh, Chak 17 ML), and Krishan (son of Lekhram Jat, Chak 11 & 12 LNP). After verification by Land Records Inspector Vijay Singh Rajpurohit, the errors were found valid and corrected. Camp Co-incharge Naib Tehsildar Adaram Nayak issued rectification orders on the spot, which were recorded by Office Kanungo Bhajan Singh and forwarded to the concerned Patwari for immediate implementation in the revenue records.

The instant correction of records at the camp brought great satisfaction to the farmers, who extended their gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and the Rajasthan Government for this citizen-centric initiative.
