Chief Minister’s Sensitivity Brings Relief to Citizens through Urban Services Campaign

 

Shri Ganganagar, Under the directions of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, special ward-wise camps were organized across urban areas to provide housing lease deeds and address public grievances, bringing significant relief to the citizens of Shri Ganganagar.

The Urban Services Campaign 2025, conducted from 17 September to 17 October 2025, aimed at ensuring prompt resolution of urban issues, improving civic amenities, and maintaining cleanliness, order, and beauty in the city. The state government provided concessions in various land-related matters, including building plan approvals, lease deed issuance, subdivision, reorganization, mutation, conversion of land use, and allocation of khancha land.

Alongside these services, initiatives were undertaken to repair roads, patchwork maintenance, improve lighting, and fix sewer leakages, ensuring citizens received better municipal facilities.

As part of the campaign, the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT), Shri Ganganagar, organized 11 major camps and is now conducting follow-up camps from 3 to 8 November 2025 as per state government directives.

So far, following the provisions and concessions granted under the state’s guidelines, the Trust has issued:

545 lease deeds under Section 90(6) & (7) of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956,

42 lease deeds under Section 90-K(8) of the same Act, and

38 lease deeds under Section 60(C) of the Rajasthan Urban Improvement Act, 1959,
making a total of 625 lease deeds issued to the citizens.

In addition, the Trust successfully resolved:

223 cases of mutation,

32 cases of building plan approval,

11 cases of land use conversion,

13 cases of subdivision and reorganization, and

32 cases of unregistered leases regularized and registered.

To enhance civic infrastructure, the UIT also executed road repair and patchwork projects worth ₹71.77 lakh, street light repair works for 360 lights amounting to ₹4.73 lakh, and drainage, sewer, and maintenance works worth ₹4.36 lakh.

Through these collective efforts, the state government’s commitment to public welfare and responsive governance has been effectively realized, ensuring citizens of Shri Ganganagar experience genuine relief and better urban living conditions.
